Ready for Action
This van is the king of versatility. It combines the comfort of a full camper mixed with the convenience and security of a garage. The opportunities for adventure are endless. Fold down the seats and you’re in full blown camping mode. Put the seats up and suddenly you’re ready to load up sports equipment, mountain bikes or even use it as a moving van! We’ve gone to extreme lengths to maximize every square inch of space and it shows. You can actually fit 3 dirt bikes side by side in this beast! Everything is always held secure by mounting to our built in L-Track system in the floor. Pulling a trailer is sometimes a pain and maintaining versatility is often number one. Our TransMoto floor plan was designed specifically for the Ford Transit van. It offers seating for 4, sleeping for 4, solar, gas furnace, AC, vent fan and custom, locally made Backwoods bumper and roof rack. This thing is truly the ultimate Motovan!
Park it Anywhere
While the Moto Build has a surprising amount of interior space, tip to toe it is actually shorter than a 2500 truck! What does that mean practically? It means you can park this dude in any standard parking space. If you’ve ever owned a class B camper you know that is super rare. Parking restrictions often apply to longer wheelbases. But in the Moto you won’t have to find only designated class B parking.

Powered for the Wild
Perhaps the greatest benefit of using solar panels on your camper van is their “fit-and-forget” nature. Once installed, solar panels require no maintenance or input to work effectively. The same cannot be said for some other sources of charging, including generators. Generators not only require the purchase of gasoline to run, but they also will inevitably need some maintenance down the line. The only form of upkeep you need to undergo with your solar panels is cleaning them intermittently to ensure maximum output.
Space for Days
The Ford Transit has TONS of headroom. It actually allows someone who’s 6’2’’ to walk upright front to back without touching ceiling. The fold up rear seat makes it easy to get out of the way to carry longer items like a kayak. One of the biggest advantages to the fold-up layout is security. When items are locked up in the van they become much harder targets for theft. Additionally, your gear is protected from the weather. With all the hauling this beast was designed to do we knew flooring durability was going to be crucial. The problem with plank flooring is that it tends to separate over time. That is why we chose a single piece of super thick marine grade lino. This material can take a massive beating and still perform as intended.
High or Low Hot or Cold
The Transit runs on gas. This is an often overlooked but important factor in our decision to build on this vehicle. Diesel at higher altitude has to be leaned down or it can smoke and cause engine trouble. When temperatures drop diesel can gel and render your vehicle useless. Gas performs so much better for these applications. So if you venture out of the Ozarks to the Rockys you don’t have to worry. The Moto Build was made to handle it. The climb up the mountain will be a lot smoother too due to the 10 speed trans instead 6. The gas heater we installed pulls directly off the main fuel tank so you fill up the van and your heater at the same time. Not only that but the solar coach batteries in rear run the lights and gas heater. And those batteries are charged by the solar panels on the roof. But that’s not the only way they charge. When the motor is running they get juice and a charger inverter gives them a charge when using shore power. It’s all integrated and it’s all seamless.
